In addition to reading Charlotte's Web, I have sent home a guided reading book for all of you. Please continue to use the skills you've been taught in school during your time out of the classroom. As you read, make predictions. As you finish a chapter think about the main idea and summarize. You don't necessarily have to write it down, just take some time to reflect on what you've read, and think about where the story may go. Who are the characters? What are they like? What is the setting and how is it important to the story? Was there anything that surprised you? Use context clues to figure out unfamiliar vocabulary, if you can't figure out a word use a dictionary. Try to include the new words you learn into a sentence with a family member. I look forward to getting back to school and to seeing all of you! I miss you!
